I love clay, I love pots and I love drawing
but it is in the quiet spaces of my studio at Welbeck
where I bring these three passions together
to make the pieces you see here on my website.

2025 was spent entirely working on a special project that was selected for the ‘Award’ exhibition at the British Ceramics Biennial. ‘Challenging Terrain’ was shown alongside the work of nine other artists in the Spode Works, Stoke on Trent.
For Award 2025 I used clay to explore how the climate crisis is causing
the weather and seasons to become increasingly extreme.
Using porcelain, my experimental thrown vessels exposed the fragility
of ever-changing landscapes. I embraced what happens when I imposed unacceptable conditions on ceramic structures. I created a precarious collection of related forms, ranging from flawless to distorted and damaged which demonstrated the impact of abusing inherently
beautiful structures.
